Classic Upright Piano and Stool

A classic upright piano with a glossy black body, standing on a burgundy rug. In front of it is a cushioned piano stool; the music stand holds an open sheet of music with notes, three brass-colored pedals sit at foot level, and yellow flowers in a white vase rest on top of the lid. Vignette size, meant for a tabletop.

Dimensions

  • Base: 16 × 16 studs (about 12.8 × 12.8 cm).
  • Piano: 16 studs wide × 8 studs deep (including the keyboard; the lid extends 1 more stud at the back). About 10.9 cm tall up to the lid, about 14.5 cm tall with the flowers.
  • Stool: 6 × 4 studs, about 4 cm tall.

Color palette (5 colors)

  • Black: piano body, black keys, stool frame, notes
  • White: white keys, sheet music pages, vase
  • Burgundy: rug and stool cushion
  • Yellow: pedals (brass look) and flowers
  • Green: flower stem

Assembly notes

  • The walls are laid in an interlocking pattern (the joints are shifted in each row, and the corners overlap alternately). In the odd rows of the lower body, the knee panel passes through the side cheeks and locks the body together.
  • The 8×16 keyboard slab rests on all the walls of the lower body and is the floor of the upper body. The upper body attaches to the studs of this slab and can be removed by pulling it upward.
  • The sheet music pages attach to the forward-facing studs of the two side-stud bricks in the 2nd brick row of the upper body. Attach the pages after the front wall is complete.
  • The flower heads fit onto the pins at the ends of the flower stem. Because the fit has not been calibrated on the printed part, the tightness may vary; if needed, use a drop of glue. This connection is not load-bearing.
  • The stool is connected to the rug by the 1×1 round bricks in its legs. If you like, it can be removed from the rug and repositioned.

    Base

    16×16 burgundy rug plate.

  2. 02

    Stool

    Four round black legs (each made of 3 round 1×1 bricks), a 4×6 black seat slab, a burgundy cushion, and black tiles on both sides.

  3. 03

    Lower body

    5 rows of interlocking black wall: two side cheeks (the "feet" that support the keyboard), a knee panel, and a back wall. In front of the knee panel are the black pedal box and three yellow pedals.

  4. 04

    Keyboard

    8×16 black keyboard slab; 14 white keys (2 octaves), 10 raised black keys in groups of 2 and 3 in each octave, side blocks at both ends, a sloped keyboard cover, and a music shelf.

  5. 05

    Upper body

    Black wall of 5 brick rows + 1 plate row. Two white pages attached vertically to the two side-stud bricks on the front wall, with black notes on top of them.

  6. 06

    Lid

    A 6×16 lid plate that extends one stud at the front and one at the back, flat black tiles, and a vase with flowers on the right front corner.
